I am a freelance journalist and travel writer, specialising in food and drink, wellness and adventure. I am NCTJ-qualified and have four years experience working on digital, print and video.
As my mum owns in a wholefood shop in rural Shropshire, my upbringing was all about nutrition, sustainability and the great outdoors. It’s little wonder I became obsessed with exploring the world as an adult. When I am not travelling or writing about my adventures I investigate human rights issues with associates from the Centre for Investigative Journalism, discuss the finer aspects of Mr Bean with refugees, and deliriously, delightfully drown myself in beat poetry and music. A trip involving social good, music, food, and adventure would be my idea of heaven.
I have written on travel for Lonely Planet, Grazia, Vice, Closer, the Sunday People, Positive News, Good Things, Adventure Girl, WildBounds, and North Four. I also wrote the travel copy for TUI’s new website.
